WHAT IS THREE FIRES STUDIO?
Three Fires Studio, in its current form, is more of a concept than a place. That's why it's called a space. The studio is wherever the people are. You make Three Fires Studio.
WHERE IS THREE FIRES STUDIO?
For now, Three Fires Studio hosts in-person sessions out of Yoga One in Petersburg, VA. The vision is to have a dedicated space, eventually, and, in time, a retreat.
Burgundie Miceli, builder and tender of Three Fires Studio, conceived of the idea to merge Thai Massage, Meditation, and Creative Writing into one entity over the course of several years. She owned Yoga Happiness Studio, Burgundie's Wine Cafe, Burgundie's Creative Studio, and The Petersburg Writing Group. Different places, different sites, different personas in each. She felt pulled thin.
Over-stretched, she thought, "But they're related. I see it. Others can, too."
She searched for prescedence, and found it.

WHAT ARE THE THREE FIRES?
The Forge Fire - Thai Massage:
movement and transformation of the body.
The Hearth Fire - Meditation:
Focus. Still, calm tending. Healing.
The Fire of Inspiration - Creative Writing:
Creativity. Expression. The poet's fire. Giving the voice form.
WHY THREE FIRES?
The prescedence for the relationship between the three was found in Brigid, the Celtic Goddess of, well, many things, but among them -poet-seers, smithing, and healing. The connection with Brigid started years ago, when Burgundie created a character named Bridgit in one of her books. By sheer coincidence, Bridgit was a strong woman, a writer, and, in her way, a healer.
As Burgundie narrowed down the areas in her life where she felt the most called to offer and teach, she kept coming back to Thai massage, meditation, and writing.
And so, that's how Three Fires Studio was born.
About the Logo Thai Massage Meditation Creative Writing
Burgundie wanted to create her own design. Since she started doing watercolor in January of 2026, she decided that maybe she could paint it herself.
And so, she did.
Once the theme of Three Fires was determined - the forge, the hearth, and the imagination based on Thai massage, meditation, and creative writing - she played with colors and came up with this:
Raw sienna for the top flame that represents the forge/Thai massage.
Sap green + yellow ochre for the leaf that represents the hearth/meditation.
Indigo that represents imagination/creative writing.
The symbol is an adaptation of the triskelion which means 'three legs' or 'three lines'. The triskelion or triskele, is a symbol associated with the goddess Brigid since she oversees fire, healing, and poetry. It is seen in the art of a few cultures including Celtic (as three spirals) and Sicilian (as three legs). Being Irish and Sicilan, this felt significant to Burgundie.

For anyone who receives a Three Fires Studio "business card": it was hand painted by Burgundie. Each card's artwork is unique.
